The objective of the program is to empower employees to take on an active role in their company's learning and development culture as Qualification Guides ("Quali-Guides"). As trusted points of contact, they advise colleagues on learning and development opportunities, provide guidance on available training offerings, and support employees in identifying individual learning pathways. At the same time, they act as ambassadors for a vibrant learning culture and help embed continuous learning into everyday working life.
Over a period of nine months, the first group of TUI Quali-Guides completed a comprehensive qualification program. The curriculum focused on topics such as learning facilitation, change management, future skills, digital competencies, and communication. A particular highlight is that the program is eligible for funding and concludes with a recognized IHK certificate. This combination ensures a high-quality learning experience while offering attractive funding opportunities for both organizations and employees.
We are especially pleased by the positive feedback from participants. One graduate described her experience as follows:
“The TUI Quali-Guide qualification program was much more than a traditional training course for me. What impressed me most was its strong practical focus, the immediate applicability of the methods, and the consistent emphasis on learning facilitation rather than knowledge transfer. The content was modern, engaging, and directly relevant to our daily work. What I found particularly valuable was the shift in perspective: moving away from simply imparting knowledge toward accompanying people on their learning journeys. The program not only equipped me with practical methods but also strengthened my confidence to contribute meaningfully to a positive learning culture at TUI as a learning facilitator, supported by a strong community.”
The successful completion of the program has also led to the creation of a company-wide network of Quali-Guides. As a community, they support one another through the exchange of experiences, accompany colleagues on their learning journeys, and make a significant contribution to embedding professional development and lifelong learning sustainably within TUI's corporate culture.
